Super Absorbency for Heavy Flow and Overnight Use
Super Tampons are essential stock in any Period Dignity Pack, Hospital Maternity Kit or Women's Refuge Intake Bag. Heavier flow days — typically day 1 and day 2 of a period — require more absorbent protection than Regular tampons can provide. Care&Protect Interlude Super Tampons with Applicator offer 9–12g absorbency (3 Drops on the international scale), making them suitable for moderate to heavy flow, post-partum recovery, and Overnight Protection. NHS Maternity Wards, Gynaecology Departments and A&E units across the UK rely on Super Absorbency Tampons for patient care packs.
Period Poverty and Menstrual Dignity — Essential for Balanced Flow Provision
A Period Dignity Pack isn't complete without Super Absorbency Tampons. Councils delivering Period Equality Schemes, Schools stocking Welfare Cupboards, Universities supplying Student Union dispensers, and Charities assembling Menstrual Dignity Packs all need to cater for Heavier Flow days — not just light and regular. Care&Protect Interlude Super is the UK's most cost-effective Super Absorbency tampon for institutional distribution, offering the same quality and smooth cardboard applicator design as the Regular variant. How to Use

Insert gently, push the inner tube forward to release the tampon, then remove and dispose of the applicator responsibly. Change every 4 to 8 hours, never exceed 8 hours of continuous use. Use the lowest absorbency suitable for your flow — only use Super when Regular is insufficient. Please read the full leaflet inside each pack for safety information including Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) guidance.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Regular and Super tampons?
Absorbency. Regular tampons are rated 2 Drops (6–9g absorbency) and suit Normal to Moderate Flow, typically day 2 to day 4 of a period. Super tampons are rated 3 Drops (9–12g absorbency) and are designed for Heavier Flow, typically day 1 and day 2, Overnight use and Post-Partum recovery. Always use the lowest absorbency that meets your flow to reduce TSS risk.
Are Care&Protect Interlude Super Tampons suitable for Overnight Protection?
Yes. With 9–12g absorbency and up to 8 hours of protection, Care&Protect Interlude Super Tampons with Applicator are widely used for Overnight Protection during heavier flow days. Always change tampons every 4 to 8 hours and never exceed 8 hours of continuous use.
